Video Game Art Made Out Of NES Controllers
Erika Iris Simmons uses the wires from old NES controllers to recreate classic video game characters like Mario, Link, and Pac-Man. This is part of her “Ghosts in the Machine” project where she recreates celebrities and various other pop culture icons using every day materials like VHS and cassette tape.
You can buy these pieces from Simmons’ site for $2,000. Or you could probably just buy some NES controllers and frames and make your own for way cheaper.
